Hugging in and widening out in Yoga could be a metaphor for life's journey. We go forth, widening out, saying yes to new experiences, and sometimes, we get tired or hurt and need to hug in.

Thank you, Glen, for connecting the cosmic in and out of life to the muscular level of being, gently escorting us toward mind-body integration!

Thanks, Randy. I’m enjoying and appreciating the poetry of your comment. And you’ve enriched my thinking. Hugging in can be both a way of gathering our strength in preparation for our adventures in the world and a way of restoring ourselves when the adventures leave us depleted or bruised. Either way, hugging in feels good and right.

Thanks so much, Leslie. And you know, I very much appreciate that your yoga teaching always involves not only a thorough exploration of alignment but a thoughtful invitation for us to create our own meaning and metaphors from our experience. You help to make yoga a life practice and not just a pose practice.
